HEALTH TIP #47:
Heart disease prevention
Cardiovascular disease is any disease that affects the heart
and the blood vessels. One of the most common causes is plaque buildup
(atherosclerosis) inside the arteries.
The plaque makes it harder for blood to pass through the body, and could
lead to a heart attack or stroke. Cardiovascular disease is preventable by
implementing lifestyle changes including not smoking, eating right, and being
active.
