As mentioned in our previous health tip, healthy
eating plays a key role in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Here a
few heart healthy nutrition tips:

Focus on
heart healthy fats such monounsaturated and polyunsaturated
·
Limit
amounts of saturated fat, trans fat and cholesterol
·
Choose
whole grains instead of refined grains
·
Aim for 7
portions of vegetables and fruit per day
·
Watch your
portion sizes.
·
Lower your
sodium intake
·
Allow
yourself the occasional treat
